Job description

We are looking for flexible candidates eager to build an amazing company and launch an amazing product for our client! The Product Test team is integrated with our manufacturing and process development teams, with a focus on pulling the technology out of the lab and enabling it in Operations.


This role will be working on ensuring consumable component of our product works as expected. Our product incorporates cutting edge technology from synthetic organic, nucleotide, enzyme, and surface chemistry disciplines, which makes this role highly integrative.


Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine analytical, biochemical, and molecular biology assays to support release, characterization and testing of raw materials, production intermediates, and finished goods.
  • Analysis of data generated by functional assays.
  • Assist with projects around QC process improvements and qualification of changes.
  • May participate in revising and updating work instructions and supporting documentation.
  • May participate in lab execution of experiments for technical support of production testing including OOS (out of specification) and NC investigations, root cause analysis.


Skills:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) essential.
  • Cross-functional collaboration, soft influence, written and verbal communication skills
  • Molecular biology laboratory skills such as multichannel pipetting, etc.
  • Ability to author and revise work instructions and perform molecular biology assays with guidance.
  • Ability to respond quickly to shifting priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and self-starter.


Experience and Education:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and 0-2 years or previous related experience.
  • Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry, or related degree.
  • 2-4 years of appropriate lab/industry experience may substitute for a degree.
  • Experience with pipetting and microscopes in a lab setting.
