Job Title: Carrier Certification Lab Verification Engineer

Location: Sunnyvale, CA

Duration: 12 Months

MUST BE LOCAL TO BAY AREA

Top 3 must-have HARD skills:

1. Carrier Certification testing for top 3 US carriers

2. Experience working with 3rd party test houses

3. Hands-on experience use Industry leading test equipment such as R&S, Keysight, Anritsu

Good to have skills:

1. Executing Carrier Cert TC's

2. Debudding logs using Qualcomm tools such as QXDM, PCAT, etc

3. Experience debugging test equipment issues and device issues

Responsibilities

Carrier Certification Lab Verification Engineers are responsible for delivering results from one or multiple areas of carrier certification testing including wireless functional and performance testing, new feature, and regression testing.

Some of the tasks in this role include:

● Defining and providing verification infrastructures, stimulus and checks

● Planning and tracking of verification tasks

● Creation and Execution of verification plan

● Review of verification plan with system engineering and HW/RF/Antenna design teams and also with 3rd party test house

● Carrier Certification Documentations of verification

● Review, analysis and reporting of verification results

● Debugging and analysis of issues found during the verification phase

Qualifications:

● Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science

● At least 3-5 years of work experience in the wireless/Cellular industry

● Good understanding of wireless communications systems and standards, including 5G, LTE, 3G and connectivity technologies like Wi-Fi and BT.

● Experience with testing various cellular & Wi-Fi technology components such as 4G/5G, Wi-Fi connectivity management.

● Familiar with US carriers Lab conformances testing and resolving issues.

● Knowledge of cellular protocol stack, firmware/hardware, RF driver components with solid experience in debugging issues stemming from these areas.

● In depth experience in analyzing logs, troubleshooting issues from field or lab for 5G, LTE and Wifi/BT.

● Experience in test methodology and test processes, including requirements collection and test plan development.

● Understanding of IP telephony networks, SIP, IMS, and standards like VoLTE, RCS is a plus.

● Good understanding of system development and verification testing methods and concepts for wireless devices.

● Experience working with major test equipment vendors is desired.

● Experience with managing issues coming from NVIOT and IODT's, GCF/PTCRB and US Operator certification testing, field testing is a plus.

● Experience working with Android/iOS devices, embedded systems and software, particularly mobile chipsets is desired.

● Experience with scripting and automation, working with test box vendors is a plus.
