Research Associate, Bioanalytical (San Diego, CA)

Kelly Science & Clinical is hiring for our client, a preclinical Contract Research Organization (CRO) located in San Diego, California to join the Bioanalytical team.

Temp to Hire Opportunity!

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM

Pay Rate: $22/hour (possibly higher with related Industry experience)

The Research Associate, Bioanalytical will provide support for bioanalytical quantitative analysis of test compounds in biological matrices obtained from a variety of studies including preclinical safety evaluations and pharmacokinetic evaluations. Focus on small molecule analysis using LC-MS/MS in support of drug discovery and early development programs.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Receipt, inventory, and storage of samples, reference and test articles, following the study protocol.
• Sample preparation from biological matrices, tissue homogenization, sample extraction techniques, and data acquisition.
• Reagent preparation and tracking.
• Assist in experiments using LC-MS/MS following the SOPs, methods and study protocols.
• Perform duties in a timely manner to achieve study timelines.
• Perform other duties as directed by Management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or related discipline.
• 0-1 Year relevant industry experience in a pharmaceutical field.
• Detail-oriented, comfortable working with large data sets
• Hands-on experience in laboratory setting is required.
• Microsoft Office skills to include: Excel, Word and Power Point
• Bioanalytical experience, LC-MS/MS and other analytical techniques is a Plus.
• Basic knowledge of pharmacokinetics (PK) and in vivo study design is a Plus.
• Position requires good communication skills and attention to detail.
• Strong work ethic, self-motivation, and ability to adapt in a dynamic team environment are keys for success.
