Supply Technician
Job Summary
The Supply Technician will support the US Navy in the performance of their requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Not listed in order of importance; other duties may be assigned) and must be able to perform the following with minimal guidance:
- Prepare documentation for Equipment and supplies acquisition and purchasing.
- Conduct inventory and stock management.
- Conduct receipt and disbursement of supplies and materials.
- Research Government sources such as GSA to determine availability and pricing, and research and develop other commercial vendor resources.
- Request and review equipment and material specifications and reconcile vendor submittals and quotations with purchasing requirements.
- Assist with reviewing vendor submittals to ensure vendor submittals meet Government requirements.
- Recommend suppliers and sources based on analysis of availability and pricing consistent with US Government purchasing regulations.
- Process purchasing requests through NAVY online systems e.g. enter and process IT purchasing requests (ITPRs) into the Navy Information Dominance Approval System (NAV-ITAS).
- Receive supplies and materials from shippers and reconcile shipments with purchase orders.
- Inventory supplies and materials and maintains "perpetual inventory" levels via inventory/stocking level reports and recommendations to management for necessary purchases to support required levels.
- Disburse supplies and materials to BCO personnel. Update online inventory, work order, and customer service request workflow and management systems.
- Maintain supply and acquisition records.
- Develop, modify, submit and maintain contract documentation necessary to support purchasing and acquisition activities.
- Produce reports and statistical data related to purchasing and equipment and materials supplies inventories and disbursements.
- Operate 2.5 ton military vehicle that is less than 26,000 lbs.
- Operate forklift, pallet jack and warehouse tools

Education / Experience / Certifications:
- Personnel performing on this effort shall be U.S. citizens
- Personnel are required to successfully obtain and maintain background investigations and clearances (to include periodic reinvestigations)
- Department of Defense experience is preferred
- 3-5 years warehouse operations experience is preferred
- Must possess and maintain California Driver's license
Physical Requirements
Work is normally performed in a seated position environment and movement of warehouse supplies. Contractor personnel will be required to lift items up to 50 lbs and be able to operate hand held equipment (e.g. pallet jacks, dolly, carts) and to operate a forklift. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distance may be required.
