Description
Job Title: Assistant Director, Recruiting & Outreach
Department: Strategic Enrollment Management
Reports to: Director of Recruiting
FLSA Status: Exempt
Summary: The Assistant Director, Recruiting & Outreach manages the outreach and lead generation for undergraduate and graduate programs for the university.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Develop creative ways to increase the company's brand and profile on campus through partnership/collaboration with professional, community and student organizations.
- Guides strategic outreach efforts to generate prospective student inquires.
- Develops and coordinates events to generate prospective learner inquires.
- Plans and attends a variety of enrollment recruitment functions throughout the Bay Area.
- Conducts research and outreach to identify potential enrollment partners.
- Builds and maintains records on contacts and communications with firms, associations, community colleges, and other targeted sources for new students.
- Displays strong commitment to performance tracking through metrics reporting, organization of data, and documentation of daily activities.
- Disseminates GGU program information among prospective students and/or their employers.
- Maintains currency in knowledge of GGU policies and how they support the recruitment plan, its execution, and its effectiveness.
- Lead and curate virtual events with the emergence of online/virtual fairs and webinars.
- Attend professional conferences, symposia, fairs meetings, etc. with the goal of successfully recruiting applicants to graduate and undergraduate programs.
- Support the enrollment and admissions teams when needed.
Qualifications, Education and/or Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of Higher Ed experience or business development experience in a corporate environment.
- Must be results-oriented with a high degree of personal initiative, be very hands on, flexible and have a customer centric attitude. This includes follow up with prospective students from events.
- Must be a team player and have the ability to interact at all levels of the organization as well as connect with students.
- Be extremely flexible, proactive, highly organized and handle heavy work flow processing.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills including oral and written communication, including excellent presentation skills.
- Be able to multitask, shift priorities, and bring tasks to completion with minimal supervision.
- Must have experience tracking and reporting leads in a CRM.
- Must possess Microsoft Office skills and strong photoshop and graphic design background a plus.
- This position requires a great deal of travel (50% to 60% of time) within the Northern California service region (includes immediate Bay Area, Sacramento metro region, and Monterey County). The ideal candidate will provide transportation with institutional reimbursement based on miles. A valid driver's license is required.
