Job description

Freshworks' Director of Sales Strategy and Execution is responsible for understanding CX BU performance across the sales organization and driving performance improvements. This strategic leader has in-depth domain CX domain expertise, is passionate about GTM, understands all of the sales motions, and is comfortable having conversations with the heads of sales, product and marketing. This is a great opportunity for the right leader to support the growth of our sales organization and make a large impact on our fast moving company, ranked #10 on the 2021 Forbes Cloud 100. This role can be based anywhere.



Role and Responsibilities:

  • The primary point person for the sales organization in BU and QBR meetings and for the BU in sales meetings.
  • The key driver of business planning for the BU within sales - helping set goals for each team and ensuring we have all of the resources and initiatives in place to deliver the results.
  • Drive performance across the entire funnel from marketing to SDR to AE to AM, direct and indirect, to ensure that we are set-up for success
  • Identify areas that are not performing at the right level and work with the teams to build solutions and implement them. It is critical that you are able to articulate what is or is not working, why, and explain the programs that we have in-place to improve.
  • Work with cross-functional team in marketing, sales enablement, PM, and SE leaders to develop the right initiatives.
  • Identifying specific accounts where we may need more company support to win.
  • You will carry the number for the global BU


Skills & Experience:

  • Sales, Solution Engineering, PMM, management consulting or similar experience at a leading SaaS or similar company
  • Global experience working with distributed teams
  • A consistent track record of building relationships with executives within a companies
  • Ability to quickly grasp and distinctly explain technological and business concepts
  • Deep understanding of the sales process inside of a the company - understanding how campaigns become pipeline and closed business
  • Understanding of one of Freshworks key markets a strong preference (CRM, ITSM, Customer Service).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and verbal)
  • Metrics-driven and ruthlessly focused on business outcomes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organized. Despite the varying nature of the products and businesses to be supported, we want to standardize our business execution motions as much as possible.
  • Thrives less on organization size than on driving business outcomes.
