Summary:
As the Director of Product Management, you will lead a team of product managers and collaborate with cross-functional partners across DFIN to develop and refine a strategic vision for DFIN's SaaS products servicing the investment markets industry. In this role, you will use your excellent communication skills to synthesize a long-term product vision from multiple perspectives gathered across the company and from emerging industry trends. You will think strategically to enact change in an ambiguous technical and organizational environment, influence teams across DFIN to realize the product vision, and drive profitable and sustainable business growth.
Responsibilities:
Develop and refine long-term strategic vision for DFIN's Global Investment Companies product portfolio, aligned to company vision, strategy and business goals.
Lead and build a high performance team of product managers while influencing across business teams and functions (software engineers, sales, customer service, marketing, etc.).
Collaborate closely with stakeholders and prioritize conflicting opinions based on business need to develop a product roadmap.
Build and maintain relationships across DFIN. Foster collaboration through leadership, creativity, presence, and patience.
Present information to senior leadership, set direction and influence the executive team on the overall product strategy.
Partner with engineering leadership to prioritize enhancements, new features, and defect handling to meet our business outcomes.
Uncover customer needs through research and experimentation that inspire innovative solutions and products.
Define key success metrics and outcomes, translating them into qualitative objectives and quantitative goals.
Qualifications:
10+ years of product management experience and having directly led teams (ideally 3+ years of management experience)
10+ years of experience delivering software products used by external end-users (not just internal users), ideally SaaS fintech or B2B financial product
Demonstrated passion for technology, financial products, and investment industry
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Track record of successfully launching and growing products at scale
Ability to build quick trust on teams, and approach problems from a curious, ready-to-learn perspective.
Strong change manager. Comfortable with change, especially that which arises through company growth. Able to lead a team effectively through times of change.
Ability to lead from complex and ambiguous situations to clarity and focus Experience with agile development
Drive to question assumptions and validate hypotheses
Lead, mentor and develop a growing team of product managers
