As Social Media Specialist at Mission Barns, you will be responsible for establishing and growing the brand and social media identity across all digital platforms. You will work closely with the VP of Marketing to help execute the brand strategy at the highest possible level.
Position

  • Full-time, exempt
  • Onsite (not remote) San Francisco, CA

Responsibilities
  • Develops strategies, program planning and implementation for digital media in keeping with overall Mission Barns brand identity, company mission and values.
  • Coordinates internal and external resources for structure, content and technical maintenance of the website, blog, mobile platforms, email, and social media.
  • Works with marketing team & vendor partners to curate online fans.
  • Uses analytical tools to track, report and measure efforts and ROI.
  • Creates content to connect and engage with consumers, community, investors and employees on digital media and beyond
  • Coordinates and collaborates with external resources, as needed, for copywriting, photography, production


About You
  • Passionate about our goal of building a more sensible food system.
  • Demonstrated, first-hand experience with social media, websites, web analytics, mobile, email campaigns, blogs, community management and content generation.
  • Equally conversant with strategy, digital media execution, and analytics.
  • Excellent oral communications & presentation skills; exceptional writing & editing skills.
  • Creative self-starter with a sense of urgency and strong work ethic.
  • Experience running real time virtual/social events (IG Live, Zoom, YouTube LIVE, etc).
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
  • Deadline-oriented, prioritizes appropriately, flexible, and maintains grace under pressure.
  • Problem-solver and team player who is willing to jump into any project large or small.
  • A self-described "foodie" with food industry experience is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent - preferably in marketing, communications or journalism.
