Jr. Designer Intern

This role is for a Summer 2022 internship and will eventually be located in San Jose, CA. We are looking for a passionate creative design student for the position of Graphic Design Intern. Your primary responsibility will be to help deliver market-ready designs for the Roku streaming players and audio products. The daily responsibilities will include working with the Design team to create print and digital design solutions that meet our product and marketing strategies. As a Graphic Designer Intern at Roku, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects including social media banners, packaging, retail displays, and store merchandising kits. Your portfolio should demonstrates a keen eye for detail and thoughtful layout of typography and design elements. Our Design team is small but mighty, without the ego. Thoughtfulness, honesty, flexibility, persistence, and excellent communication skills are qualities that matter most to us. Your responsibilities: Design, layout, and production of print and digital document and assets to support campaigns, promotions, and product sales. Develop graphics for packaging, displays, emails, banner ads, website, presentations and social campaigns. Demonstrate the ability to translate brand requirements into thoughtful designs that push the brand forward. Takes direction and input from key stakeholders to create design solutions that meet and exceed brand design standards. Manage timelines and workload. Your experience: Currently pursuing a BA/BS or equivalent in Design or related field Experience in Graphic Design or equivalent coursework Portfolio demonstrates successfully completely projects with quality work and a strong attention to detail Must be able to demonstrate some working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign Great attitude, highly collaborative, and desire to work in a dynamic environment We strive to make Roku a great place to work for employees who don't need a lot of handholding.
