Job description

Chevron Stations Inc (CSI) is accepting online applications for the position of Recruiting Specialist. This position is part of the Recruiting Team within the CSI Human Resources organization which supports 300+ service stations in California, Washington and Oregon.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not

limited to:

  • Supports applicants through the preemployment process including answering phone calls & following up with candidates to resolve issues.
  • Create, maintain & refresh job postings based on business need.
  • Participate in in-person and virtual recruiting events and career fairs.
  • Review applicant resumes.
  • Generate offers and track acceptance.
  • Support background check adjudication process.
  • Reviews and reports I-9 compliance; follows up on incomplete or incorrect I-9s.
  • Monitors E-verify compliance; follows up on incomplete or pending E-verify cases.
  • Tracks and communicates hire eligibility to Station Managers, Business Consultants and Area Trainers.
  • Reviews, updates & distributes new hire information packet. Supports training and onboarding activities as needed.
  • Audits personnel files for recruiting document completeness.
  • Support recruiting process continuous improvement efforts.
  • Provide back-up support to other Recruiting Specialists.
  • Participates in special projects or additional tasks as assigned.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • 2+ years of prior experience supporting recruiting activities in a high turnover environment.
  • Demonstrated experience using Application Tracking Systems and HR Information Systems.
  • Bi-lingual in both English and Spanish
  • Experience with process improvement initiatives and/or Lean Sigma concepts.
  • Experience with task automation tools (e.g. Microsoft Flow).


Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience required.


Full-time, exempt position. This position will be performed remotely for the time being. Subject to change at a later date.

Interviews will be virtual with hiring manager and another team member(s).

Manager will consider candidates that sit outside of San Ramon but must be located in California, Washington or Oregon.
