Job description

Beacon Resources, on behalf of our client, seeks a SEC Reporting Senior Analyst to work in Orange County. For all Public Accountants, it is time to join a publicly traded company in Orange County who is an innovative leader in its industry niche.


Job - The hired SEC Reporting Senior Analyst will assist in all SEC reporting and technical accounting functions, including serving as the lead preparer for all documents. You will report to a Director of Financial Reporting.

Compensation - Salary range starts at $95,000/year and increases depending on qualifications. Our client offers a bonus and current remote working option. An excellent selection of benefit plans is offered to choose from.


SEC REPORTING SENIOR ANALYST DUTIES

SEC Reporting

  • Prepare all reports (Quarterly, Annual) as per SEC requirements (8-K, 10-Q, 10-K, and Annual Report)
  • Prepare all registrations
  • Prepare quarterly earnings release
  • Prepare quarterly reporting calendars
  • Meet all necessary filing deadlines in accordance with the SEC
  • Maintain consistent contact with external auditors to ensure compliance with SEC standards
  • Draft financial reporting procedures to comply with internal control requirements
  • Review financial statements tie-outs

Technical Accounting

  • Draft technical accounting memos
  • Keep abreast of latest changes to the accounting standards
  • Advise all relevant personnel on new US GAAP standards and SEC regulations

Miscellaneous

  • Assist in process and IT systems improvements
  • Assist in any ERP implementation
  • Accept all other duties as assigned to you

SEC REPORTING SENIOR ANALYST QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • Bachelor's in Accounting or Business Administration with an Accounting focus
  • CPA
  • Big 4 or Tier 2 Accounting Firm Pedigree
  • At least three (3) years of SEC Reporting experience
  • Work experience in a publicly traded company OR audited publicly traded clients
  • Current knowledge of GAAP guidance and SEC rules and regulations


SEC REPORTING SENIOR ANALYST SKILLS

Required

Technical

  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel (v-lookups, pivot tables, IF Formulas)

Interpersonal

  • Detail oriented, with high level of ethics and integrity
  • Able to keep information confidential

Preferred

Technical

  • Workiva software, Oracle
