Job description
Rincon Consultants, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Scientist, Engineer, Geologist, or Hydrogeologist, to join the Environmental and Earth Systems team in Santa Barbara! The ideal candidate excels working with a team, is self directed, adaptable, and aligned with Rincon's core values and mission. The position involves working closely with the project team including Senior- and Principal-level practitioners. Duties depend on experience level and aptitude. Typical duties include performing Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments, monitoring, remediation programs, and storm water compliance projects.
What Do You Get To Do In This Position:
- Scope, coordinate, and execute soil, soil gas, and groundwater assessment and remediation programs for a variety of business sectors
- Execute storm water compliance programs for large infrastructure projects and industrial sites
- Evaluate, analyze, and synthesize technical data relative to project-specific clean-up goals
- Contribute to preparation of Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessment and monitoring compliance reports and technical proposals with a focus on accuracy, clarity, succinctness and document QA/QC
- Assist in the design, evaluation, and implementation of site remediation strategies
- Work with Project Managers and Principals in developing creative environmental project strategies and providing strong client representation and advocacy to regulatory agencies
This Job Might Be For You If You Have The Following:
- Minimum B.A./B.S. in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or another related field
- Minimum of 10 years of direct, relevant work experience in California
- Ability to problem-solve in the field
- Mechanically inclined
- OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER training (current)
- Highly motivated with excellent technical writing and documentation skills, interpersonal skills, and communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Detail-oriented, resourceful, strong time management skills, and innovative
- California P.E. or P.G. license is a plus
- QSD/Q certification is a plus
