Job description
Micropoint Bioscience, Inc., a global provider of Point of Care (POC) testing systems and solutions, is seeking a highly motivated salesperson to join the marketing/sales team.
Your role:
- Be a business development partner in the territories of the Middle East and the Americas, to collaborate with the existing distribution network, along with developing this network into new countries or for new products lines
- Have comprehensive knowledge of POC systems, diagnostic systems, cardiac pathologies, coagulation, and fertility issues
- Possess robust interpersonal skills, with evidence of teamwork and collaboration, be a self-starter and an independent thinker, with the aptitude to work autonomously, and most importantly have the intellectual capacity to interpret trends and data, translating the information into actions and improvements
- Primarily responsible for selling MBI diagnostic products to distributors for hospitals and clinical laboratories
- Take part in tradeshows, conferences worldwide
Your responsibilities:
- Maintain existing distribution accounts, meet with them regularly, train them, show new products, collect PO, and ensure customer satisfaction
- Achieve sales and profit forecasts by successfully managing the sales network
- Monitor and forecast sales pipeline on a regular basis
- Manage pricing within territory to control profitability, using experience in negotiations
- Identify, target and develop new accounts that have the potential to distribute new products, along with targeting and identifying of all physicians, hospitals and key opinion leaders within the given territory
- Provide training & supervision to customers, visit various healthcare professionals
- Develop opportunities for growth within a defined territory
- Develop sales strategy to meet the plan in existing territories
- Communicate with prospects via telephone, email and visits
- Travel, as needed, to their respective territory to visit accounts and perform product demonstrations. Overnight travel is often necessary.
- Manage a customer database using tools such as Salesforce and Microsoft Excel
- Attend conferences and tradeshows to represent the MBI product lines
- Understand market changes, and translate that into internal product strategy
- Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands the company's customer base and ensure its strong presence
- Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs
- Present sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts for the assigned territory to the management team
- Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status
- Identify key products to add into existing products lines
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years of successful medical device sales experience
- Proven experience in working with medical devices distribution network
- BS/BA degree, preferably marketing or other business-related fields, or biology or clinical / medical degrees
- Clinical background a plus
- Successful previous experience as a sales representative or sales manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets
- Work well with dual responsibilities to educate and build new business
- Ability to learn basic technical aspects of diagnostic equipment and communicate intelligently with a variety of individuals at all organizational levels
- Ability to generate sales - dynamic, goal-oriented personality
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and if possible a second language
