The Senior Full Stack Engineer will be responsible for building web applications and API's for multiple products. A product focused engineer responsible for creating both front-end web applications and back-end services and APIs. Mentoring other front-end and back-end engineers and work with UI/UX design team to bridge the gap between graphic design and technical implementation. In addition to this, you will also work with front-end engineers to develop appropriate APIs that will work as the service layer.
This position is part of the Software Engineering team and will be USA remote base. At Cepheid, our mission is delivering A Better Way to improve patient outcomes by enabling access to molecular diagnostic testing everywhere.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Work closely with the design and development team, taking UI/UX designs and integrating them into new and existing applications.
Write API's in Node JS and Java, deploy and run them in Lambda and Fargate (AWS).
Implement serverless technology architecture with AWS API Gateway, AWS Lambda.
Working closely with ops team to create and automate CI/CD pipelines in Gitlab.
Develop, maintain, debug and document HTML, CSS, JQuery and JavaScript.
Create scalable web apps using microservices and Docker containers.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor's degree in the areas of Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or relate field of study plus eight (8) years of general IT experience and five (5) years of software engineering experience.
Proficiency with React.js, Node.js, Java and Go.
Experience with GraphQL and REST API development. Indepth knowledge with HTML, CSS, Typescript/JavaScript and jQuery
Good experience with AWS services - Lambda, API Gateway, Fargate, S3, Cloudfront, DynamoDB, RDS, Cognito, SQS, SES.
Experience with Git, CI/CD concepts, and Agile principles of software development.
