Job description

MATT Construction, the General Contractor that built such iconic structures as The Broad Museum and Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, is seeking a Summer intern for our Human Resources department.

The Role

Under the direction of the Vice President of Talent Resources, the HR Intern will directly assist the department with a wide range of projects related to HR compliance, recruiting, onboarding/orientation, employee benefits, and other general Human Resources duties as assigned. This internship is designed to be both educational and practical.

Your key responsibilities may include:

  • Complete duties assigned by the Vice President of Talent Resources
  • Support the Benefits Administrator during Open Enrollment
  • Support the Talent Acquisition Specialist by processing background checks, new hire paperwork, and assist with New Hire Orientation
  • Assist with the setup and execution of MATT's Summer Internship programs
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Junior or Senior in an undergraduate degree program with a focus on Human Resources
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Willing to work out of MATT Construction's Santa Fe Springs corporate office
