Division Overview
Hubbell Power Systems (HPS) engages in the design and manufacture of a wide variety of products used by utilities. Today, HPS is deeply engaged in product solutions for OSP Communication utility purposes, and has been actively growing that segment of the business. HPS roots have historically been in high voltage transmission, distribution, substation, underground products used by electric utilities. HPS products are also used in the civil construction, transportation, gas and water industries.

Position Overview
This position is responsible for overseeing. improving and documenting all existing and future processes and workflows.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Follow Company safety and break policies, work in a safe manner, follow directions, and wear company issued Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Immediately report any unsafe activity or accident to Plant Manager and/or EHS Manager
- Provide engineering expertise as it pertains to polymer concrete press and casting, and FRP Spray manufacturing processes and operations.
- Develop new and improved processes for manufacturing, aiming to improve the productivity of all manufacturing areas.
- Troubleshoot problems associated with manufacturing processes.
- Work with production manager and supervisors of all areas to identify areas that require improvement in productivity and or safety.
- Order tools, replacements needed for production.
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive motion, clutch, lift, grab, bend, stoop, push and pull with no difficulties, be on feet during work shift, and clearly communicate issues.
Equivalent Education/Experience:
- Must have a B.S in an Engineering Field
- 5-10 years manufacturing experience in a dynamic and "hands on" environment
- Strong experience in both sustaining and improving multiple processes.
- Manage project management experience from start to finish.
- Knowledgeable of capital justification and process improvement
- Lean background and experience…Kaizen, Poke-Yoke, 5S, Kan Ban, etc.
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude.
