What You Will Be Doing

Come work for one of America's most innovative and largest steel erectors. As a Business Development Executive, you will be responsible for business growth and lead creation for the sales department. On an average day one can expect to work through your team to design and create marketing collateral that accurately communicates corporate capabilities. One can also expect to collaborate with stakeholders to help ensure that bids and proposals are designed to address needs of clients. Whether leading public speaking engagements, or attending industry networking opportunities, the Business Development Executive can expect a diverse workload in this role.



The Ideal Candidate

  • Is able to maintain a sales pipeline for new business prospects and build sales strategies for new company ventures.
  • Able to leverage expertise to influence client choices about structural steel building projects.
  • Able to maintain relationships with clients to ensure continued success.
  • Is aware of competition activities in the marketplace and able to demonstrate how the organization differentiates itself.
  • Able to understand the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats to the organization and communicate this with regularity to the Executive Vice President.



Other Essential Functions

  • Has a minimum of five years experience in a business development leadership role in the commercial construction sector.
  • A Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline (Marketing, Business etc.) is recommended.
  • Non-degreed, qualified individuals are encouraged to apply.
  • Has specialized knowledge in business development best practices and able to leverage this within the context of the business to deliver results.
  • Has knowledge of CRM systems, Office365, and Blue Beam.
  • Able to travel up to 50% of the time. Travel will be throughout the Bay Area.
