Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as a Process Area Manager of Gearing 3 based out of Sunnyvale, CA at the Marine Systems campus.
What You'll Get to Do:
The Process Area Manager of Gearing directs all aspects and phases of Rotating Element Hobbing / Grinding operations from inception through completion.
The individual is responsible for the cost and schedule performance of Operations programs or subsystems of major programs in the Gearing areas.
The individual monitor's adherence to master plans and schedules, cost performance to budgets, identifies process problems and develops solutions, and provides cost and schedule performance data/status as the Cost Area Manager for programs in area.
In addition, this individual directs the work of Supervisors and Employees, supports safety initiatives, and interfaces with Employee Union representatives as required for areas of responsibility.
A technical understanding of Machine Processing of Rotating Elements is a requirement.
Knowledge of Heat Treat processing and Metallurgy processing is desired.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a technical field from an accredited college or university desired with 9+ years of experience; Master's Degree with 7+ years of experience; PhD with 4+ years of experience (4+ additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree).
Management and/or leadership experience.
Minimum of five years related experience with strong knowledge in Gear machining methods and processes (Grinding and Hobbing).
Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
Related experience in machining, milling, drilling, boring and turning of components is desired.
Experience in machine functionality, repair, and maintenance experience is desired.
General knowledge of Heat Treat processing and Metallurgy processing is desired.
Government contracting and fixed price production experience is desired.
Current or active security clearance.

Salary Range: 137200 - 205800
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
