Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to be a part of the Corporate FP&A Team. You will be interfacing with the Global FP&A, Regional Finance, Business Operations, Accounting teams and also be responsible for maintaining, updating relevant performance metrics. Your role will include providing variance analysis, clearly explaining the business reasons for variances, and partnering with Global and Regional FP&A to adjust the outlook models to reflect operational adjustments. You will also be directly involved in the coordination of the various planning cycles (annual planning, monthly forecasts, and weekly outlooks). With exposure and visibility to senior executives, strict attention to detail and an ability to set and meet tight deadlines will be important for your success.
Responsibilities
- Consolidate weekly bookings and revenue reports for exec team and Microsoft
- Monitor key financial metrics and business drivers
- Provide ongoing communication and collaboration with departmental staff and management.
- Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly management reporting
- Analyze budget/forecast variances to actual and review with management team
- Work with cross-functional partners to provide ad hoc business-related analysis
- Own and review financial models to ensure they are both accurate and updated
- Establish processes to ensure accurate and timely completion of financial planning consolidations
- Assist in the development and implementation of tools, systems and processes to support the successful completion of timely and accurate forecasts
Basic Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree in finance or accounting, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of financial analysis experience
- Advanced MS Excel modeling skills
- Analytical background working directly in an FP&A environment modeling bookings, revenue, costs and expenses
- Excellent communication, analytical, teamwork, organizational, interpersonal and systems skills
- Adaptable and able to react quickly to changing business needs
- Strong system skills with preference towards Hyperion Essbase, Dodeca, and Oracle
- Experience with SaaS business models
- Ability to question the output of a financial model and consider options for improvement
- Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks and work within deadlines with little supervision
