Post Closing/Closing Underwriter

Work with assigned department(s) clearing conditions. includes review of and evaluation of documents submitted to clear a condition and determination if the document(s) are acceptable.

This is a 100% remote role.

• 2 years of current mortgage experience such as processing, auditing, servicing or underwriting..
• Excellent verbal and written communication along with a good level of detail of documentation.
• Friendly and motivated attitude. Good moral ethics conduct.
• Must possess good technical skills, comfortable with MS Office, Byte, DU, LP and other various industry systems.
• Must possess the skills of a self-starter and use logic and experience to review and document files.
• Must have an advanced understanding of FNMA, FHLMC, FHA and Investor guidelines.
• Ability to work closely with multiple underwriters and communicate clearly with the processing staff

• Review of documentation submitted by processor to satisfy specific conditions
• Evaluation of these document(s) to determine acceptability
• Clearing conditions and returning files to closing/funding/post closing
• Communication with underwriter regarding items that require further review
• Communication with processing/closing/funding/post closing staff
• Meet required time frames for review of conditions
• Provide coverage for other hybrid underwriters when out of the office
• Provide coverage for underwriters out of office
• Assist with rush requests
• Assist with RCTC
