We are seeking a Business Development Associate who will play a critical role in generating leads and building a pipeline of potential partnership/acquisition opportunities. The candidate will join a highly collaborative and motivated team in a high growth environment with substantial opportunity to create value for all involved. Qualified candidates should demonstrate a strong desire and passion for sales and business development, a great goal-oriented attitude, and marketing experience. New grads welcome! Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Generate leads for the company primarily through cold calling efforts
  • Outbound prospect qualification and account research
  • Qualification shall include working with small business owners to make a determination if they are a fit within the WVP organization as a potential acquisition target
  • Manage and maintain prospect database in Salesforce ensuring accuracy and integrity
  • Build deep pipeline of future acquisition opportunities
  • Work closely with business development team to generate and qualify new leads as well as closing transactions
  • Manage outbound mailing program and track response rates
  • Assist in additional administrative tasks as needed
  • Be a team player in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment

Preferred Criteria:

  • Experience cold and warm calling small business owners
  • New grads who have an aptitude for sales please apply!
  • Experience in an inside sales role, or strong desire to move into sales
  • Prior experience within veterinary, dental, or dermatology organizations is a plus
  • Ability to communicate, both written and orally, with a leadership approach
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Results-oriented, strategic thinker and planner
  • Comfortable in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced, and growth-oriented environment
  • Local to the Greater Denver, CO area
  • Services industry, or multi-site company experience
