Position Overview:

We are searching for innovative, passionate, results-driven sales people who will help us continue to grow our US business.


The position, which will report into a Vice President of Business Development, will spearhead the development of new relationships with utilities and municipalities throughout the country. The role requires the ability to take prospects and usher them through the sales process to close. Great communication and presentation skills are a must … as is the ability to keep many balls in the air!

Responsibilities:

  • Determine and implement appropriate strategies to expand the number of regional US water, electric and gas partners
  • Identify and build strong rapport with key decision makers
  • Lead prospects through the entire partnership development lifecycle including concept exploration, opportunity demonstration, contract negotiation, and program implementation
  • Uncover and leverage customer and competitor insights
  • Identify and lead research on partnership prospects
  • Provide key data and industry insights to enhance the opportunity for prospects
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure the right solution is being presented to each prospect
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive presentations to prospects, internal partners and executive team members
  • Assure proposal documentation is complete and delivered to stakeholders
  • Travel to prospect locations to interface and develop long-term business relationships with key staff at various levels
  • Participate in target industry associations, meetings and other networking opportunities
  • Experience in/with water utility industry or state/local government is a plus


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field
  • Demonstrated success leading complex, long-term sales cycles through their entire strategic sequence, including account identification, product alignment, business case development, pitch and close
  • Advanced project management and leadership skills
  • Adept at influencing stakeholders and partners by creating a compelling call to action
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills - ability to engage audiences in our product and our story
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic and growth-oriented organization
  • Able to comply with 40 - 60 % business travel
  • Experience in/with utility industry or state/local government is a plus as is managing sales through an RFP process
