We are seeking a Renewable Energy Project Developer to support the origination, development, and delivery of projects on-time and on-budget by collaborating closely with colleagues at all levels of the organization to guide development strategies that will have the greatest customer impact and highest commercial value. As a Project Developer, you will work collaboratively and demonstrate a high level of diplomacy with customers, utilities and local communities to create new processes and requirements that result in more effective commercial solution delivery; work in partnership with the development and sales teams to fully understand customers business goals in order to prioritize real estate portfolios for optimal renewable energy solutions; and translate ideas in the field to enhance our platform's efficiency and productivity through process automation and data analytics.

- Originate projects with existing and/or new customers
- Perform project-level development to NTP
- Develop and manage project schedule(s)
- Guide projects through the interconnection process, working with engineers, utilities, and customers
- Ensure project obtain site control and project clear title review
- Work with partners and key stakeholders to ensure that development milestones are met
- Collaborate with real estate and C&I partners and/or act individually to obtain building permits and all other non-ministerial ones
- Ensure survey work is completed and necessary permits, real estate, and grid interconnection agreements are secured
- Work closely with account managers to ensure smooth relations and development of parcels with our real estate partners
- Work collaboratively with the markets and construction teams
- Identify and suggest improvements to business processes and best practices
- Take ownership of everything you work on and be responsible for the thoroughness and quality of everything you create
- Enthusiasm, passion, and a relentless desire to make great things happen
- Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, or related field preferred; MBA and/or advanced cost accounting experience a plus
- 5+ years of C&I renewable energy development experience including distributed energy projects and/or C&I behind- or in-front-of-the-meter solar projects
- Commercial real estate development experience a plus
- Demonstrated success conceptualizing and selling renewable energy solutions
- Understanding of all aspects of solar power development, including siting, interconnection, permitting, construction, and financing as well as utility/energy/grid transformation
- Direct experience in transmission-level distribution-grid level project development, obtaining site control, acquiring interconnection services agreements, and managing equipment supply chains
- Experience developing and delivering ISO-level battery energy storage systems
- Understanding of the principles and values in microgrids
- Experience in ISO-NE NY ISO or CAISO strongly preferred; PJM or others a plus
- Experience creating enterprise software requirements and participating with the software development team participation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and/or Google Suite (Docs, Slides, Sheets, Calendar), Adobe CS, and Salesforce
- Strong writing, editing, analytical, research, communication, presentation, and organizational skills
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Demonstrated success prioritizing and managing competing expectations effectively while working on multiple projects simultaneously
- Impeccable attention to detail with consistent delivery of high-quality, error-free, on-time work
- Demonstrated success both working independently with minimal supervision and collaborating with others
- Willingness and ability to travel locally and nationally 50% or more to meet with real estate partners, energy co-developers, and suppliers, and visit project sites

- $90,000 to $120,000 base salary depending on experience and location
