Principal Duties and Responsibilities Provides long-range facilities projections and plans to meet the needs of company growth and strategic direction. Develops and manages capital and expense budgets that reflect overall company goals and strategies. Performs global leasing operations. Develops and provides oversight for EHS Policy and Corporate EHS Management System procedures Advises management and works with site EHS staff to ensure compliance with applicable regulations including OSHA, EPA, DOT in the U.S. and company EHS requirements. Evaluates significant accident and hazard investigations and recommends corrective actions. Maintains effective internal EHS audit program. Monitors delivery of effective EHS related training for all sites and facilitates development of corporate training programs as appropriate. Supports legal department with W.C. and Property insurance risk control and processing activities Provides guidance regarding major facility renovations and process modifications and moves to ensure that EHS issues are addressed Establishes requirements for necessary EHS related documentation and coordinates the collection and distribution of EHS metric data to drive performance improvement. Promotes EHS programs through internal publications, encourages consideration of EHS impact during decision making processes and integration of EHS responsibilities into daily activities Develops and promotes environmental sustainability strategy Facilitates integration of BCP principles into Operations functions and coordinates communications with site BCP team leaders Maintains EHS section of company external internet web page and coordinates responses to external queries about our EHS Mgt. System Coordinates EHS due diligence for potential acquisitions and divestitures and manages EHS integration of acquisitions in a timely manner. Expected Areas of Competence Thoroughly understands financial management as it relates to capital and expense budgeting and control. Understands commercial real estate as it relates to leasing of facilities. Understanding of regulatory requirements and building codes, Factory Mutual requirements, GMP, OSHA, EPA, DOT and ADA. Auditing and Program Management skills. Demonstrates strong oral and written communications skills. Demonstrates effective leadership and motivational management style. Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills. Education/Experience Requirements Position requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Safety/Environmental Management or related degree and 8 years related work experience in real estate and EHS management.
