Northrup Grumman Space Systems Group - Integrated Operations Directorate is looking for an experienced Mission Operations Trainer to join the Training Department team to develop and deliver operations training curriculum to Government Customers. As a trainer, the selected candidate will be required to design and develop training material to support automated scenarios, mission exercises and certification check rides for the customer and internal operations personnel. Other responsibilities include working with the Systems Engineering Lead to identify training needs and develop training plans and curriculum such as reference guides, operational guides and evaluation tools. The MOPs Trainer will also work with mission operations personnel to ensure training curriculum and scenarios accurately represent current operational documentation used during on-orbit checkout and commissioning of satellites as well as during execution of primary mission(s). The MOPs Trainer may also support system development activities such as requirements management, architecture development, integration and test and formal program milestones. They will also be required to interface with program and customer personnel regularly
Product deliveries include: Lesson Plans, Powerpoint Presentations, Training Videos, Scenarios, Test/Quizzes, Student Guides, Training Plans, and other training material as necessary to support contractual training requirements.
Must work collaboratively in a team environment across engineering disciplines to accomplish mission goals. Must excel in a fast-paced mission focused environment. Must be able to meet rapid development timelines.
Specific experience and responsibilities shall include:
Developing training material IAW Instructional System Design Processes
On-Console Command and Control Satellite Operations
Ground System anomaly troubleshooting and resolution
Rendezvous and Proximity Operations (RPO) Training Development
Mission Planning and Execution (RPO)
Basic Qualifications:
Clearance level: Top Secret SSBI / SCI eligible
Bachelor's Degree in engineering, education or related field plus 6 yrs experience
Rendezvous and Proximity Operations (RPO) mission planning/operations
Experience w/ MS Office Suite products
Preferred Qualifications:
Web/video based training development experience
Lesson plan development
Simulation/scenario development
Test/Quiz Development
Experience utilizing training development tools such as Camtasia or Adobe Illustrator
Salary Range: 92000 - 151800
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
