Dibble is looking for a skillful and highly motivated Business Developer to join our Team in Denver, CO. This dynamic individual will be responsible for leading the business development activities for the Colorado market, focused specifically on Pipeline Utilities, Surface Transportation and Land Development. This position will partner with assigned Business Unit Leaders (BULs) to understand the business climate and establish an executable business development strategy. This position will also be responsible for building relationships with target clients, identifying opportunities, and helping Dibble be positioned to win contracts.


ACCOUNTABILITIES :

  • Work closely with Business Units to develop successful business development strategies.
  • Assist in building business and achieving backlog goals.
  • Identify leads and opportunities for Business Units.
  • Conduct market research.
  • Establish relationships with key contacts in various existing and potential client organizations, as identified in collaboration with BULs.
  • Create opportunities to build client relationships and business opportunities through personal interactions.
  • Work with BULs, Marketing Director and the President to identify relevant conferences/ seminars in which to participate to establish relationships with new and potential clients.
  • Work with staff to mentor and model appropriate and effective business development techniques.
  • Assist Marketing Director in preparing of annual marketing and business development plan and budget.
  • Document opportunities and activities using Vantagepoint database.
  • Work with Marketing Director to develop messaging for existing and potential clients.
  • Actively engage in industry organizations.
  • Uphold the Values of the firm and contribute to our positive Company culture.

Qualifications:

  • A strong commitment to the Values of the Company.
  • Solid understanding of A/E/C industry in Colorado.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize expenditure of time, energy, and company resources in pursuit of building business.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with clients and peers.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interact on a professional level with all levels of staff, management, and clients.
  • Understanding of the business of consulting and client intimacy business model.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, preferably with some experience in the A/E/C industry.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

Other Requirements:

  • Must have a valid driver's license or be able to obtain a valid driver's license within 3 months of start date.
  • Travel (including overnight travel) to maintain relationships may be required.

LOCATION: This opportunity is in our Denver office location

COMPENSATION: Annual Base Salary Range: $80,000-$100,000 DOE. The expected salary range for this position is displayed in accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. The final agreed upon compensation is based on the successful candidate's individual education, qualifications, and experience.
