Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The HR Recruiting Specialist will provide a positive applicant experience that builds interest in working at our cooperative. The role will focus on new hire recruiting by screening resumes, conducting phone interviews, scheduling interviews (either in-person or via video), making and writing job offers, and administering our applicant tracking system (ATS). Responsibilities also include identifying, connecting, and developing relationships with potential applicants and workforce development organizations. Our company's expanding JEDI (Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion) work will guide our hiring processes and this position's work/focus area.

RECRUITING RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the applicant-to-candidate phase of the hiring process for non-managerial roles using a skills-based hiring approach.
    • Consult with managers to understand staffing requirements and specific job objectives for field operations and residential design roles
    • Evaluate and screen resumes and cover letters using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
    • Conduct phone, video, and/or in-person interviews
    • Provide a shortlist of qualified candidates to hiring managers, assist in the interview process as needed
    • Make job offers and coordinate start-dates for new employees
    • Maintain records in ATS
    • Help design, implement and improve overall recruiting methods, creating and maintaining a "playbook" of documented processes
  • Coordination and expansion of workforce development efforts, focusing on partnerships with external organizations with the intention to create a pipeline of under-recruited/under-represented candidates that into the cooperative and the solar industry
    • Steward JEDI policies, programs, and practices related to the activities listed above to evolve our recruiting and onboarding efforts
    • Stay up to date with current recruiting methods and platforms (such as social media)
    • Attend external recruiting events

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Organized with excellent follow-up skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding of, or desire to learn, skills-based hiring methodology
  • Knowledge of social media recruiting
  • Decision making and critical thinking skills to assess applicant's qualifications for role
  • Ability to learn, improve, and create systems and processes
  • Self-starter that can set priorities independently
  • Computer skills including typing, Microsoft Office applications, and Applicant Tracking System
  • Demonstrated commitment to JEDI work

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Hybrid of work-from-home and in the office (either in Boulder or Denver)
Starting compensation: $46-50k
