Job description
Hudson, a nationally leading immigration law firm specializing in employment-based visa petitions, is seeking strong, versatile writers for full-time writing/managing positions. A legal writing and editing associate (team lead) will be responsible for managing a team of four to six writers and editing legal documents for immigration petitions, including recommendation letters and petition letters. A legal background is not required, but experience in efficiently and accurately summarizing complex information and/or scientific research is very helpful. A background in academic or technical writing and managerial experience is also desirable.

Responsibilities
- Assign and edit technical/legal documents and letters based on internal materials
- Revise documents according to internal specifications and client feedback
- Reply to client messages in the case management system

Desirable Qualifications

Compensation and Benefits:
For this position, you will first undergo training as a Technical Writing and Editing Associate. During this time, the annual compensation structure ($40,000-$45,000) includes a guaranteed base salary, signing bonus, various other bonus opportunities (awarded monthly), as well as eligibility for overtime compensation.
Once transitioned to a Team Leader Assistant position for additional training, and subsequently moving into the Team Leader position, base salary is adjusted and total annual compensation ranges between $55,000-$85,000, with continued eligibility for various bonus and overtime opportunities.
Additionally, an automatic base salary adjustment is applied annually, separate from any adjustments that may be obtained through advancement.
