Salary Range: $25 - $30 an hour (or possible salary)

QUALIFICATIONS o US work authorization (Required) o Structured Cabling: a min of 5+ years of experience as a Telecommunications Technician (Preferred) o Lead/Foreman and Superintendent Experience (Required) o Valid State Driver's License and transportation (Required) o Transport a variety of items: e.g., tools, equipment, supplies, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring the availability of materials required at client site (Required) o Experience with telecommunications cabling copper (CAT 5e, 6, and 6A), fiber optics installation, and termination in commercial spaces (Required) o Manufacturer: Commscope, Panduit, Ortronics, Leviton etc. Certified (Preferred) o Must be able to climb and carry ladders up to 10 feet tall (Required) o Carry heavy equipment such as boxes, spools, and cabling materials. (Required) o Must be able to use power tools and read construction plans. (Required) o Must have normal color vison (Required)

FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

Smartwire is seeking qualified Superintendent Structured Cabling Supervisor/Technicians for a contract-to-hire position or full-time hire in the Denver Metro area. Candidate will be responsible for managing team members and work with team in installing, maintaining, and repairing network data cables, as well as be responsible for installing racks and other metal components in communication rooms, cable supply inventories and associated documentation. Technicians MUST have experience with various cables including but not limited to coax, twisted pair, Category 5(E), Category 6, Category 6A, single and multi-mode fiber optic cables. IDF/MDF, rack install, fiber termination and testing experience is needed.

Job Requirements: o Managing a single or multiple project(s) and other team members on and off site is a MUST o Must be able to properly read and understand project/construction drawings and documents o Must have good team and communication skills to work with other trades and management team o Good computer skills, emails and completing job documentation needed o Installing voice and data cabling o Terminating data jacks o Installing J-Hooks and other organizational hardware o Installing data equipment including data racks, patch panels, cable trays, etc.
