Job description

Overview

Assist the Hotel Departments in their shipping and receiving needs. Receive and unload orders delivered to the hotel.
Responsibilities

- Receive and stage merchandise by department, mark appropriately for placement in facility, and deliver merchandise to apporopriate department.
- Stack recived merchandise on pallets or carts.
- Complete requisition forms for inventory and supplies.
- Notify manager/supervisor of low stock levels in a timely manner.
- Receive deliveries, store perishables properly, and rotate stock.
- Inspect deliveries and date times to verify freshness, cleanliness, consistency, and quality throoughout case lots.
- Refuse acceptance of damage, unacceptable, or incorrect imtems.
- Adhere to food safety and handling policies and procedures across all food-related areas.
- Organize, clean, and santize all refrigerators and freezers, floors, food equipment, and drains. Remove empty pallets, cardboard, and trash and place in proper storage areas.
- Examines all incoming items for defects and notes defects on invoice or bill of lading before driver leaves.
- Verifies all incoming items by physical count versus invoice or bill of lading; notes shortages and/or items refused on invoice or bill of lading.
- Forwards receiving documents to Purchasing Manager identifying any discrepancies.
- Weigh all items which are priced by the pound (catch weight items) to verify invoice accuracy; notes discrepancies on invoice/bill of lading and takes credit on same where applicable .
- Store all nonfood items in the dry storage room; assists with issuing supplies from this area.
- Responsible for deliveries of department offices including office supplies.
- Assists in the food storeroom with storage and issuing of food products.
- Assists with functions of the beverage operation to include receiving, storage, and/or issuing of malt, vinous, or spirituous beverage, when the Purchasing Manager is not available. Rotate and store Beer, Liquor, and Coke products directed by the Purchasing Manager.
- Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
- Perform any other job related duties as assigned.

Pay Rate: $16 - $17/hr
