Job description
Windsong at Northridge is a Montessori Inspired Lifestyle Memory Care Community in Greeley and is seeking a dynamic team member to serve our staff and residents!
General Summary: Duties involve a high degree of complexity due to the nature of bookkeeping and all this entails. Duties are performed under direct supervision of the Administrator with established procedures and guidelines. Errors in accuracy, judgment, confidentiality and level of professionalism affect the smooth and efficient operation of the department, ultimately impacting management, resident and staff trusts levels. Responsible for the day-to-day activities in areas of financial business for Windsong at Northridge residents as assigned. This may include but not be limited to:
Job Functions:
- Process all bookkeeping, accounts receivable and accounts payable pertaining to resident and Windsong at Northridge activities.
- All payroll and reporting.
- Collect, record and track rental deposits; calculate and collect rent and fees due.
- Maintain positive relationships and frequently interact with Windsong at Northridge residents and families. Serve as liaison between residents and their financial services and healthcare providers as well as Social Security.
- Process Social Security and pension payments, cash checks, and field questions from residents.
- Review deceased member assets; facilitate paperwork and any claims due.
- Prepare bank deposits as needed for checks received from Windsong at Northridge residents and activities.
- Prepare reconciliation report of cash funds received from Windsong at Northridge residents, cash boxes, and activities; give to accounting for final tabulation and deposit/recording.
- Handle clerical duties, which include heavy filing, incoming phone calls and messages, outgoing mail processing, and correspondence. Frequently transport mail, packages and supplies between building and run occasional car errands.
- Perform other office and administrative duties as assigned by Windsong at Northridge Administrator.
- Conduct HR functions associated with hiring process and maintain employee files in accordance with regulations.

Interpersonal Contacts: Contacts are both inside and outside the organization. Internal contacts include employees, management, residents and their families. External contacts include visitors, guests, vendors, and contractors.
Skills:
· Excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills. Strong oral and written communication skills.
· In-depth knowledge of principles and practices of bookkeeping, payroll, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
· Ability to learn and master software program of facilities choosing.
· Demonstrated computer skills with proficiency in spreadsheet and word processing programs.
· Demonstrated proficiency in math and operating a 10 key/calculator.
· Ability to assist with budget development as requested.
· Ability to maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work activities.
· Sensitivity in interactions with an aging population. Ability to cope with loss.
· Demonstrated ability to understand and work under a variety of situations in a positive constructive manner.
· Demonstrated ability to be organized, well prepared, set and meet deadlines, stay on task and avoid distractions.
Education and/or Experience:
· High school diploma or equivalent required. Post secondary education preferred.
· Demonstrated combination of experience and or training to perform accounting duties effectively and accurately.
· Two (2) years' experience in field preferred.
· Valid Colorado driver's license.
· Continuing education as requested by the Administrator.
· Ability to process background checks.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
