ABOUT THE ROLE:

Reporting to the Director of Customer Service & Collections, the Customer Service & Collections Associate will perform an integral part of collections activity communicating with our borrowers by placing calls and/or correspondence to optimize payments. This is an in-person role and cannot done be remotely.

The responsibilities will include:

  • Contact customers via telephone, email, and text message and arrange/negotiate to bring the account current while complying with internal policy and procedures.
  • Work with customers requesting modifications or hardship to their paybacks.
  • Respond to incoming phone and email customer service inquiries.
  • Document all interactions with 100% data integrity in the appropriate CRM system.
  • Identify opportunities to improve and scale the collection processes on behalf of our bank partner and share with the rest of the business.
  • Investigate, research, and track consumer information using online skip tracing tools.
  • Operate in a goal-oriented environment, achieving individual and team performance targets.
  • Maintain compliance with FDCPA (Fair Debt Collection Practices Act) and internal regulations.
  • Daily/weekly reporting to direct supervisor.
  • Other Collections and Customer Service functions as assigned by management.
  • Manage alerts from Experian and Skip Tracing sources

ABOUT THE CANDIDATE:

Our ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 1-3 years' experience in call center collections and / or customer service.
  • Strong understanding of the Fair Debt Collection Privacy Act (FDCPA)
  • Financial Services experience
  • First party collections experience strongly preferred.
  • Availability to work full-time.
