This is what you will do:
The IT Business Systems Analyst, Finance role is responsible for working with stakeholders from all finance business units (Accounting, FP&A, GFBS, Tax, & Treasury) and related third parties to help support the definition and documentation of business processes and system requirements. This role is also expected to support Finance related business applications through an in-depth knowledge of company processes, business systems, and information databases. Essential to be able to gain a deep understanding of ERP, Planning, and Reporting systems functionality (along with the associated data and metadata) with ability to troubleshoot issues, gather requirements, communicate needs, support change control process, and document solutions.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate skills in critical thinking, effective written and verbal communication skills, and planning. This individual will be expected to learn and understand the Finance businesses and the systems that support them. The right candidate will also be a self-starter who exhibits creativity, hustle, integrity, and teamwork.
You will be responsible for:
- Performing analysis, design, implementation, and maintenance activities in various areas in support of EBS IT.
- Working with subject-matter expert's (SME) and leadership to understand and gather requirements on new processes as well as improvements to existing processes.
- Translating business requirements into highly specified project requirements.
- Performing unit testing of application development work that ensures that all requirements have been addressed, all basic functionality works, and errors are handled properly.
- Producing process documentation that accurately and thoroughly describes the important elements of the solution.
- Using a variety of data analysis and organizational tools to uncover insights.
- Working under supervision, cross-functionally, and independently.
- Leading assignments of low complexity.
- Applying the concepts of LMS, SDLC and best practices with feedback and supervision.
You will need to have:
- Strong business requirement documentation skills
- Ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities at any given time
- Detail-oriented and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a deadline-driven environment
- Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills
- The ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Passion to learn the ins and outs of the finance business processes and their associated systems, reports and data elements
- The duties of this role are generally conducted in an office environment. We would prefer for you to have:
- Ability to quickly learn existing business processes and combine knowledge from functional disciplines in order to produce and optimize business solutions
- The skills to initiate, evaluate, develop, defend, and influence user's adoption of new technology with solid, actionable recommendations
- Ability to facilitate workshops to identify root causes of pain points
- A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in a technical program
- Internship experience working experience in a Business Systems Analyst role
- Business process mapping experience
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with colleagues at all levels throughout the organization
- Understanding and adherence to basic Project Management methodologies
- Experience in supporting Accounting, Finance or Tax teams and systems
