Buyer/Planner Responsibilities

• Maintain uninterrupted supply and inventory of products to meet operating plan objectives (car downtime, inventory turns, service level, safety stock levels, cost goals)
• Responsible for all purchasing activities in relation to purchased parts, supplies, hardware and service
• Support inventory reduction program
• Define and negotiate appropriate terms for purchased parts
• Analyze , reduce and disposition excess and obsolete parts
• Responds to ECN( Engineering Change Notice) and PCN (product change notice)
• Monitor supplier delivery performance
• Manage lead times and lot sizes
• Manages inventory levels and transactions in Sage X3 ERP system-maintain supply planning parameters, parts movement to vehicles and to new car builds
• Confers with suppliers to obtain product availability and delivery schedule
• Maintain PO integrity, and resolve invoicing and receiving discrepancies
• Responsible for providing detailed recovery dates involving supply issues
• Identify and deliver cost saving initiatives across high spend items
• Drive Quality, Cost and Delivery performance with key suppliers
• Disposition of non-conforming or incorrect parts

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

· Education: High School Diploma or GED.

· Experience: One to two-years previous inventory/receiving experience.

· Skills/Qualifications: Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills required.

• Skills/Competencies: Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Ability to work cross-functionally in order to meet deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
