Conair LLC, a global leader in the manufacture and distribution of personal care, health & beauty products, premium kitchen electrics, tools, and cookware, is seeking an entry level Talent Acquisition Specialist in our Stamford, CT location. You will be an integral member of our overall Human Resources organization and a partner to our Sales and Marketing teams in this role. This position is responsible for meeting hiring goals by filling open positions with talented and qualified candidates. This entails sourcing and screening candidates, coordinating the interview process, and facilitating offers and employment negotiations, all while ensuring candidates have a pleasant experience.
What You Will Do:
- Source candidates using a variety of search methods to build a robust candidate pipeline
- Identify and implement efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
- Screen candidates by reviewing resumes and job applications, and performing phone screenings
- Collaborates with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.
- Take ownership of candidate experience by designing and managing job postings
- Screen applications and selects qualified candidates.
- Schedule interviews; oversee preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
- Assist with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
- Perform reference checks as needed
- Manage onboarding and new hire process
- Stay abreast of recruiting trends and best practices
- Ensures all screening, hiring, and selection is done in compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
- Attends and participates in college job fairs and recruiting sessions.
- Perform special projects requested in support of HR initiatives.
Our Successful Candidate Will Have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of recruiting experience preferred
- Experience rolling out DEI initiatives
- Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Demonstrated ability to establish effective and cooperative working relationships built on trust
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Comfortable making decisions independently
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems, Jobvite experience a plus
- Ability to manage a wide range of relationships with a variety of stakeholders
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Working knowledge of interview techniques and applicant screening methods
- Deep understanding of employment laws and regulations
- Familiar with a wide variety of sourcing avenues
- A courteous and professional demeanor with candidates and hiring teams while also remaining assertive and confident.
- Ability to work on multiple searches at once
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- SHRMs Talent Acquisition Specialty Credential a plus.
Environmental Factors:
- Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
- Must be able to use a computer keyboard and view a monitor for extended periods of time

- Must be willing and able to commute to the Stamford, CT office on a regular basis (currently we are in a hybrid model of 50% in office). Alternatively, ability to commute to our East Windsor, NJ office will be considered.
