About Us

FinTron Invest is a fast-growing fintech startup, SEC-registered, FINRA Member Broker-Dealer on a mission to make investing, banking, and financial knowledge more accessible and appealing to young consumers. FinTron believes that investing has been intimidating for too long and that anyone should be able to take control of their finances (not just the 1%). In April 2021 FinTron launched its investing, budgeting, and banking app with support from well-known influencers and is now actively growing its user base exponentially.

We strive to accelerate personal finance for the Mobile-First Generation through affordable financial products, and access to free education. FinTron has a simulated investing game, FinTronU where players build a portfolio by purchasing simulated stocks without the stress of owning a stock. Additionally, as a free education provider, we provide various lessons and assessments so people can test out their financial knowledge at no cost.

The Role & What We Are Looking For

FinTron is looking for a full-time self-starting Frontend Developer beginning on January 1st, 2022 who will demonstrate sound technical skills and code in the weeds with our current dev team! We are looking for a developer who has an entrepreneurial spirit and is eager to learn and is driven to dive into a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment. The developer will be reporting directly to the CEO and CTO and is expected to frequently leverage past experiences and demonstrate an understanding of full-stack development. The dev should be well-versed in current UI/UX technological trends and familiar with a variety of languages and databases as outlined below. Must be within a 45 minute to 1-hour commute and will be required to work in the Westport office.

Experience with end-to-end full-stack mobile applications and web development is preferred.

Developers will be utilizing several languages and databases. Required Knowledge is as follows:

• JavaScript
• React Native
• React JS Framework
• Node JS
• Redux middleware
• Python
• MySQL
• Knowledge about API

Good to Have:

• Django Framework
• AWS

Qualifications:

• Proven 3-5 years of industry experience in full-stack development (with a focus in front-end development)
• Ability to debug issues in a full-stack environment
• Familiarity with tools such as Git, npm, Jenkins, MobaXTerm, and Webpack
• Excellent verbal and written communication - high attention to detail
• Manage time efficiently, work autonomously, and is highly collaborative with other developers
• Ability to meet tight deadlines under pressure
• Have a BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Strong adherence to coding standards and engineering best practices
