Morris Group, Inc., one of the largest machine tool distribution networks in North America, is seeking a motivated Business Analyst to work onsite at our Windsor, CT location. The position is part of the Corporate Strategy function working to provide insights and data that enable business leaders.

The Business Analyst provides actionable intelligence to help decision makers by understanding business needs, creating original analyses, conducting market and competitive research, mining data warehouses and other sources while leveraging visualizations to create information rich reports and recommendations.

Core Responsibilities:

• Own market share database and reporting process to gathering data and generate timely and quality reporting to key internal and external stakeholders

• Design and implement reports, dashboards and presentations for business consumption

• Support business unit level analysis of sales performance to optimize territories, identify new customers and empower sales leadership to drive growth

• Perform ad-hoc analysis in timely manner to support strategic data-driven decisions

• Investigate, develop and maintain a competitive and market fact base for strategic decisions

• Work independently on reporting and analysis needs with minimal supervision

• Develop standard work, automate repeatable tasks, and drive process efficiencies

• Participate in management meetings, seminars and trade shows to understand trends

Qualifications

• Experience with analytical and visualization tools (EXCEL, Power BI, etc.)
• Bachelor's Degree required; Marketing, Economics or another analytical field preferred
• 1+ year of experience with analyzing data or marketing desired
• Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM programs
• Knowledge of industrial equipment a plus

• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization
