As the Card Issuance Operations Team Lead, your job description includes various production related and administrative functions. You will be responsible for the execution of daily, weekly and monthly planning of production activities in the department. Team Leads will assist in the development of measures to motivate employees and perform performance evaluations of assigned staff. Monthly one on ones with each of your associates will be required where you gauge and provide feedback to employees' on personal targets. As part of the evaluation, you should monitor your staff's performance and coach them for improvements. A Card Issuance Team Lead can recommend that the manager institutes disciplinary proceedings against a staff member. You need to assist your manager in carrying out these proceedings in accordance with the banks human resource policies.
Team Leads strengthen the relationship between the organization and its clients by assisting in the recruiting of quality staff members. The people hired to work in the department must be detailed and customer-oriented; an Operations Team Lead ensures that this is the case. He / She oversees the department and checks whether it is meeting the set departmental SLA's.
He / She also has to oversee the implementation of procedures, goals and objectives within the department. This role involves instituting ways of improving the work environment and the business operations in the company. As part of the implementation process, operation Team Leads keep a close eye on the adherence to these policies, objectives and goals. May provide input into key people decisions (i.e. Salary Planning, Performance management, hiring/firing, etc.)
Shift Hours: Monday - Friday -12:30pm-9:00pm
- Requirement:
- 1-2 years Operations experience with limited supervisor/assistant supervisor experience.
- Experience working in a high-speed detailed oriented production environment.
- Able to prioritize and distribute daily work to meet deadlines and goals.
- Demonstrates a good working knowledge of the processes and procedures and the ability to identify and implement process improvement opportunities.
- May be required to lift up to 25 pounds and will need to wear steel toed shoes.
- Ability to spend 30% of time completing actual production work.
Entry level Operations Supervisory position. Reports to a Team Manager or Operations Manager. This is an Individual Contributor that directs a small unit or section of the company's internal operations activities. Responsibilities focus on the day to day resolution of problems and execution of transactions within specific operations units requiring immediate and frequent involvement with unit activities, e.g., reviewing and authorizing General Ledger entries, approving exception processing, etc. Reviews operations procedures and implements changes and ensures the enforcement and adherence to operations procedures. Provides guidance to staff and may handle exception items or unusual situations, referring more complex problems to a senior level manager. Requires basic operations knowledge with work experience in a specific product line. More than 50% of time is spent doing actual production work. May provide input into key people decisions (i.e. Salary Planning, Performance management, hiring/firing, etc.). Typically has 1-2 years Operations experience with no prior management experience.
