We are seeking an Administrator to join our team and share in their passion for Global Public Affairs. Responsibilities include providing organizational and operational support for programs and initiatives associated with ASME's Global Public Affairs department and Washington office. The incumbent will play an active role in providing primary administrative and logistics support for the Managing Director of Global Public Affairs and the operations and staff needs under their purview. This role also partners with the International Operations, Global Government Relations, and ASME Public Affairs and Outreach Sector teams.
This role requires a Bachelor's degree and a proven track record of demonstrating knowledge, excellence and practical experience in the following technical and professional skills and competencies:
Work closely with the Managing Director, GPA on executing the department's programs, initiatives, content, and promotion- Provide administrative support related to the GPA department and its Managing Director, including the dissemination, and drafting of internal and external reports, meeting minutes, scheduling, and other needs
- Provide administrative support for the Government Relations and International Operations teams-including India and China offices and international liaison(s)
- Support the facilitation of ASME Congressional briefings, Town Halls, and other (virtual) events
- Assist in the coordination of the ASME Public Affairs and Outreach (PAO) Sector and its units and provide administrative support to ASME volunteers associated in these areas
- Assist in the operations of the Washington office and local events, including catering, vendor rentals, and management of office supplies

Relationship Management - Ability to work well with teams in diverse, complex, and changing environments
Problem Solving - Ability to identify key issues, gather data to investigate those issues, and develop actionable recommendations
