This position will handle the enrollment and ongoing customer service support of the Guided Pathways Managed Account service. The primary responsibilities include interacting directly with MissionSquare Retirement participants to answer questions about their Managed Account service and/or assist them with online enrollment to include walking them through the advice engine and processing the enrollment over the phone. Additionally, the Advice Products Specialist is responsible for processing paper enrollment forms and conducting quality reviews on Managed Account enrollments, responding to all participant inquiries related to the Guided Pathways program, acting as a subject matter expert on Guided Pathways for MissionSquare Retirement. In addition, the position will assist with the implementation and administration of future advice products as needed.


Essential Functions for this role include:

  • Manage all Guided Pathways enrollments to include paper enrollments and enrollments over the phone.
  • Review and respond with clarity and accuracy to e-mail and phone inquiries from participants concerning the Guided Pathways program.
  • Serve as the MissionSquare Retirement expert on the Guided Pathways program. This will include being a technical expert on the software as well as having an in-depth understanding of the program's methodology.
  • Make proactive, outbound calls to participants to discuss their enrollment in the program, gather additional data, and answer their questions.
  • Test new software releases for the Guided Pathways program in UAT and ensure the program is working as designed.
  • Quality review all enrollments into Managed Accounts to ensure accuracy.
  • Achieve established metrics for the role; which may include, but not limited to, number of daily enrollments, participant satisfaction surveys, and number of daily outbound and inbound calls completed.
  • Follow practical application of all compliance, regulatory, and company policies and guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.


If you have the following credentials, we encourage you to apply:

  • 3+ years' experience in accounting, financial services or similar environment.
  • Series 65 License
  • Ability to analyze information to determine the issue then research, resolve, and
  • communicate the outcome
  • Ability to communicate complex investment principles
  • Proficient MS Office Skills (Outlook, Word)
  • Strong knowledge of retirement plan products and regulatory guidelines
  • Ability to provide financial guidance and advice using sound investment practices
  • Strong customer service skills to use with both internal and external clients
  • Ability to work under pressure with a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to listen/probe to solve customer's needs
