Job description

Position involves directly supporting significant OPNAV N2N6 staff foreign engagement and security cooperation planning with US maritime security partners and NATO/EU, strategic thinking, planning, and programming support to improve interoperability with US maritime security partners. Task interaction crosses many Navy organizations and echelons and includes interaction with the U.S. Marine Corps, US Coast Guard, and coalition partners.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

* Plan and manage partner engagement meetings [agenda development as well as administrative details].
* Manage government SharePoint site that is used to support multilateral security/interoperability meetings.
* Assist in preparing senior OPNAV staff decision-makers for high-level meetings dealing with bilateral and multilateral interoperability.
* Review Naval C4ISR requirements, plans, and budgets to identify potential allied interoperability issues or impacts, and assist N2N6 government personnel in understanding impacts, mitigating adverse effects, identifying opportunities for efficiencies through collaborative engagement with partner nations, and advocating Allied interoperability during the POM process
* Pre-meeting support for bilateral and multilateral security discussions. Also post-meeting summary write-ups for senior OPNAV staff.

Place of Performance:
Washington, DC (primarily at the Pentagon) and numerous foreign locations for meetings

Requirements

Education/Skills/Qualifications:

* 10 years of experience (Active/Reserve Duty, USG Civilian, or Defense Contractor) with at least of 2 years as a member on a senior level Office of the Secretary of Defense or equivalent, Joint Staff, Combatant Command, Military Department or Service, or IC staff in each of the following areas:
* Maritime policy development and implementation, guidance, and capabilities associated with the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Joint Staff, Combatant Commands, Military Departments / Services, IC, and US Interagency.
* Proven ability to provide high-level decision-makers with information regarding all facets of Information Warfare. Ability to work with security partners developing their own IW enterprise.
* Ability to communicate effectively [written and oral], and have the capability to plan/assist in planning significant multilateral and bilateral security engagements. Both virtual and in person.
* Intelink, Inteldocs, and Sharedrive publishing and editing.
