Business Analyst (Grants) - Washington DC (currently remote) - Fulltime

We are looking for a focused, driven self-starter to work in a highly dynamic, cross-functional. AOI's ezFedGrants team supports the USDA solution that enables users to apply for and manage USDA grants and agreements online.

The successful candidate would report up to the AOI Project Manager and would fulfill the following responsibilities.

Specific Responsibilities
The Business Analyst assists users of the USDA's ezFedGrants system by answering their questions and resolving system issues.
Logs user inquiries into a database for tracking and reporting purposes.
Communicates with user via email and/or over the phone to resolve issues in a timely fashion and escalates issues when necessary by creating ServiceNow tickets.
Coordinates with the ezFedGrants O&M team to resolve any escalated tickets.
Works individually and in a team environment to resolve problems.
Supports the Change Management process for the ezFedGrants system by gathering business requirements, participating in system design sessions as well as User Acceptance Testing for new system releases.

Required Qualifications
Extensive customer service experience
Experience working on an IT or other type of Help Desk
Experience gathering system requirements as Business Analyst
Experience participating in User Acceptance Testing
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
Critical thinking and problem solving skills
Time management and planning skills

Preferred:
Experience using ServiceNow
Experience with data analysis and reporting
Familiarity with grants related policy guidance (e.g. 2 CFR Part 200)
Functional knowledge of the government grants life-cycle
Familiarity with a grants-related IT system
