Software Resources has an immediate job opportunity for a Remote Business Analyst / Technical Writer.

s only, must work PST or MST time.
The Business Analyst / Technical Writer position is a member of an internal software development team employed to advance the organization's proprietary software platform. The Business Analyst / Technical Writer will engage business colleagues to document their requirements. The Business Analyst / Technical Writer will interpret these requirements to create the technical specifications. Together, these documents describe the project scope. The Business Analyst/Technical Writer role is essential to producing user stories that feed the development backlog through product delivery.
Duties
• Partner with business stakeholders to gather their requirements
• Guide business stakeholders to effectively develop the foundation of their requirements
• Effective fact-finding techniques and excellent note capturing during stakeholder conversation
• Master of fact transformation skill to articulate the requirements
• Author clear and concise documentation that the business and technical stakeholders easily understand
• Turning business and technical requirements into Epics, Features, and User Stories
• Provide daily status reports to the product manager
Technical Skills
• Skilled in the use of Microsoft Azure DevOps Projects, Dashboards, Wiki, Boards, Test Plans, Epics, User Stories, and Work Items
• Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office 365 Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint
• Highly Skilled in the use of Microsoft Visio or acceptable alternative
• Skilled in the use of Microsoft Project
• Knowledge of the parts of a software stack
• Knowledge of the database schema, tables, fields, and field types
• Knowledge of business tools specifically Applicant Tracking Platforms, Salesforce, and LinkedIn
• Professionally authored and polished documentation; text themes, tables, graphs, table of contents, corporate
style templates
• Presentation content designed to illustrate key point to two audiences business and technical stakeholders
Experience
• Minimum 7 years of experience in the role of Business Analyst / Technical Writer
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps Projects, Dashboards, Wiki, Boards, Test Plans, Epics, User
Stories, and Work Items
• Participated in medium to large projects involving software application lifecycle phases; plan, develop, deliver,
and operate
• Remote and unsupervised work environment
Education Qualification
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science and minor in Business
Administration from an accredited college
• or Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration and minor in Technology or Computer Science from
an accredited college
Certification
• IIBA Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA) (preferred)
o or IIBA Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)
o or Certified Analytics Professional (CAP)
