We are seeking an energetic and highly motivated person to join our team as a Business Analystin either our Chicago, IL, Princeton, NJ, or Washington, D.C. offices (or remote). As a Business Analystyou will play a key role on project teams, comprised of technical and non-technical staff, to document business requirements, develop test plans and perform testing procedures. As part of the Systems and Technology department, this position requires a high degree of technical aptitude related to systems and software development and a willingness to develop technical knowledge to meet project demands.

Responsibilities:
- Serve as a liaison between project teams and technical staff.
- Work with project teams to develop written business requirements from verbal conversations.
- Manage and create tasks derived from business requirements.
- Document business processes and identify opportunities to improve processes.
- Identify technology solutions that may address business requirements.
- Develop processes and systems.
- Assist with project management tasks (scheduling and coordination of activities).
- Assist in creating test plans and coordinating testing activities.
- Execute test plans and document all test results.
- Mentor junior staff.

- Strong educational background and a B.A./B.S degree required
- Basic grasp of software and systems, data and databases, data analysis, survey development, or system design techniques.
- 1-3 years of experience gathering, managing, and documenting business requirements.
- Ability to translate verbal communications to written requirements.
- Ability to understand project plans and clearly articulate roles, project goals, and timelines.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to execution of tasks of varying complexity
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to deal tactfully and diplomatically with others.
- Flexibility to handle multiple priorities, sometimes simultaneously, under deadline pressure.
- Desired but not required: Web design, user experience (UX), SQL, Atlassian suite, Visio.
This position offers an anticipated annual base salary range of $63,000 to $90,000. This position may be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on company and individual performance.
Various federal agencies with whom we contract require that staff successfully undergo a background investigation or security clearance as a condition of working on the project. If you are assigned to such a project, you will be required to obtain the requisite security clearance. Must be able to pass a public trust background investigation.
