We are currently seeking a Business Operations Lead (BOL) to partner with our Market Director to drive key initiatives for the Mid-Atlantic Market (Washington D.C., Maryland and Virginia). This key leadership role will assist the Market Director, Business Unit Leaders and Corporate Function Leaders in creating a platform which enables our professionals to maximize results. Working with the Market Director, this position will drive the development and execution of annual business plans and own key initiatives to innovate our business to improve productivity and expand capacity at all levels. The BOL will measure the effectiveness of allocated resources and will provide timely, accurate reporting on the operating condition(s) of the Mid-Atlantic Market. This role will be based in our Washington, D.C. or Tysons, Virginia office.

Key responsibilities include:

* Establishing strategic plans for the Mid-Atlantic region and each office within the Market
* Creating and executing annual business plans for the Mid-Atlantic Market
* Partnering with Mid-Atlantic Market Director to drive growth and productivity initiatives by providing metrics and analytics required for decision making
* Assisting Market Director with all facets of the Recruiting / Mergers & Acquisitions process from deal information to the onboarding of new team(s)
* Interacting with all Business Unit Leaders (Brokerage, Capital Markets, Property Management and Project Management) and Business Support Leaders (Finance, HR, Marketing, Research, Sales Enablement) to drive new initiatives that support the overall mission.
* Overseeing smaller market/business sectors that may require formal leadership.
* Driving innovation
* Monitoring and managing key metrics (revenue per professional, spend, utilization rate of infrastructure groups, etc.), Track top Achievers
* Financial review of the business at a macro level.

Experience and Requirements:

* 7+ years of strategic operations leadership experience (preferably in a commercial real estate brokerage environment and/or real estate industry) with proven track record of driving key business initiatives while partnering with senior executive leadership
* Strong financial/business acumen to understand/provide context for decisions.
* Bachelor's degree with outstanding academic achievement; Master's degree preferred.
* Expert level user of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
* Extensive experience with CRM (Client Relationship Management) systems.
* Ability to interact with multiple stakeholders and pro-actively anticipate their needs
* Planning and Organizing - establish course of action to accomplish goals, evaluates results, develops schedules, and can orchestrate multiple activities at once by effectively utilizing resources
* Client Focus - dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of external and internal clients, acts with client in mind, establishes and maintains effective relationships, and gains their trust and respect

* Written/Oral communications - ability to speak and write clearly and concisely, get messages across that have the desired effect
* Constantly demonstrates leadership presence

* Collaborative work style - ability to create an environment of safety and candor to challenge and debate issues of importance.
* Pro-active and energetic
* Actively pursues continuous learning to offer new ideas for improving the business, client service and employee relations.
* Travel required within the regional offices (Norfolk to Baltimore - approximately 10-25%)
