About the Opportunity
DMI (Digital Management, LLC.) is currently seeking to hire a Business Process Specialist to serve as the lead for this project and will lead and direct on-site work for all contractor staff.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supports documenting the business process and workflow for each project
- Demonstrates proven knowledge of working with teams to understand business strategies, envision and prioritize business capabilities, and design business and related technical solutions.
- Supports planning, requirements, design and implementation phases of IT modernization efforts including: defining business requirements; re-designing process and data flows; writing user stories; defining implementation plans to enhance existing and implement new systems; utilizing project management tools and techniques to develop and implement multi-phase projects..
- Effectively and accurately communicates relevant project information to project team leads and team members
- Adheres to deadlines and makes sure client's needs are met in a timely and cost-effective manner
- development.
- Working with a team to consult, develop, and document business workflows and business process improvements - including providing project management support for IT systems modernization projects;
- Working with a team utilizing agile processes, including the agile development life cycle, utilizing and developing Epics, documenting user stories, developing acceptance criteria, and preparing non-IT technical business owners for IT systems development work;
- Assessing potential risks to the project and recommending ways to avoid or mitigate the risk;
- Creating requirements documents to support IT system modernization projects such as database design, business process documentation, automation of manual processes, and capturing processes for survey estimation;
- Performing analysis and review of data refinement to support efficient review and evaluation.
Qualifications
Education and Years of Experience:
- BA/BS Degree - in a technology related field
- 5 years of experience in building and specifying mission critical business applications within an Agile framework
Required Skills/Certifications:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to communicate effectively and confidently with users, team members and management.
- Must be flexible and willing to undertake a wide variety of challenging tasks.
- Strong facilitation skills.
- Proven experience at driving consensus across multiple stakeholders
- Process driven analysis skills and a background in various requirements elicitation methods.
- Expert at MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint)
Desired Skills/Certifications:
- Project management experience
- PMP certification
