Team Overview: The Client Experience (CX) organization, situated within Technology & Operations, touches all aspects of the client journey, and is aligned across 4 key pillars: Onboarding (Contracting, Implementation, Client lifecycle & Due Diligence), CX Operations (COM, Invoicing, Reporting, Projects & Engineering), CX Delivery (Experience Management, Specialized Servicing, Service Centers), and CX Enablement (COO, Client Experience Transformation). The Client Order Management (COM) function provides the order execution service for BlackRock clients, receives client investment instructions into BlackRock's commingled products and segregated portfolios, and ensures that order placement is accurate and consistent with the client's instructions. The team facilitates approximately 1.3 million transactions with a value of $1.7 trillion annually. The COM Analyst is responsible for facilitating and coordinating the notification of client investment instructions within strict deadlines with an emphasis on accuracy, risk and quality control. This position has a high level of client service and interdepartmental contact. Key Job Responsibilities: Handle incoming client phone calls including investment instructions and inquiry servicing. Complete day to day assigned tasks; including, but not limited to, control reports, exception monitoring, and reconciliation. Serve as a contact for clients and their agents for communication of investment instructions into/from collective funds and separate accounts. Facilitation of client trade instructions, verification/confirmation of instructions, compiling of summary data and verification/dissemination of information to internal BlackRock groups integral to the investment process globally. Work closely with internal groups such as Portfolio Management, Relationship Managers, Legal & Compliance, Risk, Onboarding, Client Experience, and other Operational Teams. Provide high quality client service externally and internally, answering inquiries and resolving problems from clients as well as internal BlackRock groups. Build and maintain strong, productive and effective relationships internally and externally. Participate and complete special projects as assigned, including automation efforts, system testing, client research, and representing COM in firmwide projects and client meetings. Skills and Requirements: BS/BA in business, finance, accounting, economics, or related field. 1-3 years of investment experience is helpful. Internship experience is also acceptable. Innovative problem solving capabilities and ability to think and act quickly. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential. Demonstrated analytical ability, maturity and judgment in servicing institutional clientele. Organized, self-directed and detailed individual with strong time leadership skills. Analytical ability to synthesize information and summarize issues. Ability to apply factual based data in decision making process while working under critical time-frames. High proficiency in Microsoft Office and an interest in learning new applications. Capacity for working effectively and efficiently on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment.
