Position Summary

GPS Strategy & Transformation Corporate Strategy Manager

The Team

The S&T (Strategy & Transformation) Market Sensing team is responsible for designing & executing a range of activities to evaluate the US Federal, State, and Local government services and technology solutions market, competitive landscape, and disruptive trends. The learnings and outputs will be used to inform leadership decisions on growth forecasting, performance evaluation, strategic shifts, and new market/investment opportunities. The GPS S&T Market Sensing Manager oversees team/s that works closely GPS (Government Public Services) business leaders to assess major market supply and demand trends and their implications for GPS strategies.

Work You'll Do

The Corporate Strategy Manager has a role as a critical member of the GPS Strategy and Transformation (S&T) leadership team, with significant responsibilities in activating the GPS strategy and translating it into GPS's sectors and OPs, supporting executive decision-making, defining growth goals, and leading strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities may include:

* Leads development of a wide range of research and analysis to produce solutions to highly complex problems that support the firm's leadership.
* Work with Defense Security & Justice, Intelligence, Civil, Health, State Local and Higher Education sectors and leverage financial, market, and contract data sets.
* Partner with Sector/OP leaders to support executive decision-making as they work through strategic choices
* Execute focused strategic analyses on key market competitiveness trends, stress-test business growth potential and support investment choice evaluations
* Perform independent research and data gathering, including focus groups, industry tools, and federal data and materials across internal and external sources and author work products, including Environmental Scans, Quarterly Market Updates, and specialty projects.
* Leverage open-source research and federal data for Federal Procurement Data System (FPDS) and Bloomberg Government (BGOV) to define and produce outputs.
* Maintain and cultivate connections across the industry and continually bring new insights and perspectives into analysis efforts.
* Support development of investment business cases, as it pertains to achieving strategic goals
* Oversees delivery team/s and directly coaches junior staff on methods, research, facilitation, analysis, and storytelling
* Drive operational activities and requests, including resourcing, reporting, planning, and leadership presentations

Required Qualifications:

* 5+ years of experience in strategy, preferably within a corporate strategy function
* Experience with a professional services or research firm in the federal, state, or local markets
* Experience with at least one of the following industry research tools: Federal Procurement Data System (FPDS), Bloomberg Government (BGOV), GovWin
* Experience with Microsoft Excel for creating analytical or financial models, including complex formulas, macros, pivots, and conditional formatting
* Experience with modeling and/or data visualization
* Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Client service experience at a manager level
* Experience leading teams
* Experience with M&A Strategy and/or market strategy
* Ability to synthesize large amounts of information, identify trends and issues, recommend solutions proactively, and apply problem-solving and analytical expertise
* Ability to communicate findings clearly, provide detailed recommendations to senior audiences, and work collaboratively across a range of stakeholders
