Job description

The Director, Regulatory Compliance, has extensive technical knowledge and experience in securities matters and investment fund administration, and is responsible for monitoring compliance with portfolio guidelines of the VantageTrust-Vantagepoint Funds (Funds). The Compliance Director also coordinates and oversees foreign country tax and regulatory processes applicable to international investment activities of the Funds. This Director partners with associates at senior staff and management levels on regulatory and securities compliance matters, and contributes to financial service and product initiatives.

MissionSquare Retirement is a nonprofit financial services organization operating nationwide and managing investment funds with broad-based domestic and international portfolios.

• Direct, oversee and coordinate investment compliance processes; develop and document portfolio monitoring tests, controls and procedures; manage application of third-party service provider systems; and ensure prompt resolution of all portfolio compliance exceptions or issues.

• Direct, oversee and coordinate foreign country tax and compliance reporting processes required for international investment activities and securities transactions.

• Perform fact-finding, research and analysis involving issues and positions relevant to investment portfolio compliance matters; prepare file memoranda and management reports documenting rationale and technical support.

• Coordinate with professional advisors and third-party service providers, as appropriate.

• Perform or manage special project work and other duties, as assigned.

• Prepare and maintain appropriate documentation and retrieval systems.

• 10+ years of experience as an investment fund compliance specialist with exposure to securities and regulatory reporting processes within the financial services industry. Investment management firm experience is essential.
