Job description

Private Washington DC family seeks professional, dedicated, and creative Executive Personal Assistant to work directly with the busy Principal and his spouse based in a busy DC office. This is a five-day work schedule, likely 8:30A - 6:00P, with flexibility and willingness to work additional hours as required. The ideal candidate will have a background working directly for a busy Principal as either an Executive Assistant, Personal Assistant or Executive Personal Assistant. Someone with previous experience working in a busy office setting is ideal. This position requires to be a genuine team player in order to work collaboratively with existing team members.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Liaison between vendors and contractors, and being the single point of contact within the Principal's office and home
  • Overseeing ever-changing and busy schedules for Principal and potentially Principal's family
  • Managing junior admins within the office, including training, hiring, and scheduling

· Assisting with travel needs as required for the Principal and Principal's family

  • Potential for handling errands and requests when other household team members are unavailable to assist
  • Acting as the conduit between a busy Principal and his colleagues and clients
  • Handling all requests from clients and presenting a daily and, as necessary, weekly report to update Principal or flag important messages, situations, call-backs, etc
  • All other duties associated with the title of an Executive Personal Assistant, as requested



Requirements:

  • Strong command of English language; superior communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Bachelors degree from an accredited school preferred
  • Minimum 5+ years related work experience as an Executive, Personal or Executive Personal Assistant
  • Excellent references required from both current and previous employers
  • Experience with office management and office hierarchies
  • Ability to fully manage junior-level admins
  • Flexible to accommodate longer days as required (either in person or via mobile)
  • MUST have positive, pleasant, and team-player attitude; strong service-oriented mindset
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Polished, poised, and professional in both mindset and manor; use of utmost discretion at all times
  • Computer and technology savvy with proficiency in PC operating systems and Outlook
  • Legally able to work within the United States
